The Mansion called, The Heart.

The Mansion called, The Heart.

These are times that you have to go to your Creator and empty your heart to GOD.

There are so many people dealing with an overabundance of emotional pain. The traumatizing effects it has on your life affect you, your family, and your friends. Our society continues to be influenced by things that happened years ago.  People feel trapped, burdened down with emotional pain.

Don’t leave this blog until you embrace GOD, our Father, and decide to get rid of the pain. If you’re looking to break the cycles of pain and arrested development of images and feelings that pop up using your mind and heart, you’ve come to the right place.

Help is on the way.

Recently I was looking at a couple on the show “Fix My Life,” where Iyanla Vanzant is coaching her guest to try to work through the trauma.  I think she’s excellent at getting people to bring up the emotion, verbalize what they’re feeling and what they need.

Sometimes healing is facilitated through a conversation about how you are feeling and what is going on in your life that makes you behave a certain way towards yourself, friends, and family.

But there are some traumas and emotional issues that are so deeply rooted that breaking up all the fallow ground and uncovering it can almost make the person feel like they wish they were dead.

There are people who live like they are dead. They have nothing good in their life and are stuck in cycles of abuse, addiction, and fear.

GOD can deliver us from the pain that occurred as a child or even in adulthood.  We can talk about things that we remember going through, but what happens when you don’t remember what happened.

Fragment pieces show up in your dreams, and you feel burdened and repressed by an occurrence you were too young to remember or very traumatized by.

The Mansion called, The Heart.

Your soul is on fire and inundated with so much hurt and anger, which leads you down the path of addiction, self-hatred, not being able to realize your blessings, or cheated out of accomplishments that you dream about because you’re so overwhelmed.  You feel like you are drowning, and as horrible as that sounds, GOD is a liberator.  In fact, one of HIS names is the Spirit of Liberty.

GOD Is the Only One Who Can Look Into Your Heart

Your heart, and your mind are constantly having a conversation about things that you don’t even want to remember, but they revisit you over and over, making the pain fresh again.  This is where GOD can step into your life.  There is a man in the Bible his name is Saul, and before GOD made him a king, HE had to give him a new heart.

The Bible says, “you have to be renewed in your mind to be transformed.” (Romans 12:2). The heart is delicate, and when flooded with pain, anger, and resentment, then violence shows up in some form.  Sometimes the violence is internal and directed at oneself.  Other times friends, family, and co-workers endure the brunt of your pain.

There’s only one person who can look into the heart of a human being, and that is God.  He can look right into your heart and extract what is trying to destroy you. Whereas talking to coaches and therapist it takes time for you to open up and depending on the skills of the therapist you may have minimal results.

Forgiveness is a prescription best taken by all

Forgiveness plays a major part in your healing, especially the forgiving of one’s self. Now the person who says, “I don’t have any problems, it’s everyone else”, is a defense mechanism. Either they will not look at their behaviors, or it’s a deflection. When I began pastoring a group of women that God sent into my life, I reiterated to them time and again they needed to do introspection and ask GOD to help them see themselves.

Only HE knows what is truly inside of you and needs to be removed from your life.  Words have power. The Bible says, “the power of life and death is in the tongue.” (Proverbs 18:21). Now you cannot negate that because God created your mouth and put the power in your words. That is why you have to be careful what you say about yourself and others. Self-deception is a subtle spirit that operates in the life of most people.

After 30 years of ministry, I can undoubtedly tell you how effective words can be in your life. I found or discovered how to allow GOD’S word to counsel me by using the promises that GOD provides through HIS word to eradicate the shaming memories that reverberated in my mind.  I also used the personal revelation about myself that the LORD communicated to me to do battle with anything that was fighting me.

I get a piece of copy paper and printed out my solution from GODS word.  I placed those solutions on the wall, in an area in which I could see them every day. Usually, that’s in my bedroom. Looking at them was not only to help me to remember, but to go in my eye gate.  GOD’S word is irreverent, and it will help reinforce what I’m trying to accomplish.

Washing your mind

Reading GOD’S word daily will facilitate the removal of the rhetoric that goes on inside your heart and mind.  Ephesians 5:26 tells us that God‘s word will cleanse you. If you take the steps that I just laid out for you in this article, you will see positive changes, and the healing process will be on its way.
